I had a 116 Weather Warrior a few years ago in 7 MM Remington Magnum and it would hit a dime at 200 yards with a cheap Tasco scope. Scope came with the gun, was not of my choice. But it worked really well. Only the barrel was magnaported and it caused me to loose my hearing while shooting at a buck from inside my tree stand.

The only complaint I would have is the price of ammo.

It really doesn't matter which caliber you use, dead is dead. If your goal is big game hunting - deer, then all you really need is a .270, .280, 300 Savage, .308 Winchester, 30/06 type caliber.

When you get into wildcat calibers, you get into more money when you have to buy your ammo and you run the risk of running out of ammo on a big trip or loosing your ammo and then going to the nearest store and finding out that all they have is the more popular calibers.

That is unless they have a Walmart.

RE: My new Rifle!

Sweet! Congrats!
