When used as specified, the bullet drop circles would be used at maximum magnification; with a lighter powder charge, the bullet may not travel as fast, so you may need to zoom the scope back a little bit (to maybe 8x magnification) to compensate for a different (slower) trajectory. The scope includes instructions on how to test with your particular gun and load.

Regardless if you are using our specified load or not, we strongly suggest taking test shots prior to using it for hunting so you know how your gun and scope work together.

Thanks for using Nikon products!

Nikon Inc. I got a tip from another person and I will NOT get the Nikon. Check out the features of this scope that I was unaware of!!!

Leupold UltimateSlam™ Muzzleloader Riflescope

http://www.leupold.com/hunting-and-s.../ultimateslam/

You can dial it in based on the load you use!!!! Not locked into one load as per Nikon!

I will buy the Leupold. Nice, that is the brand on my rifles. Now they come out with an awesome ML scope. yeah, baby!

Powder Load Question

I have the 1st generation Rem 700ML and I got the conversion kit so I could use #209 primers.

Now I see the Nikon BDC scope that would be great due to the reticle markings for 100-250 yard shots using a 250 gr. bullet with 150 grains of powder behind it.

HOWEVER, in looking at the Remington ML manual it shows to load to only 120 Grain Pyrodex Pellets. I see I can now buy Pyrodex in 60 grain loads which helps.

So, will using the 120 grain load really impact using the Nikon BDC as they were very specific about sighting in at 100 yards using 150gr power/250 gr bullet combo ???

Let me know.

Thanks.
