Yeah, their ignorance is pretty sad. Hunting them WILL actually HELP the wolf herd and everyone all around in numerous ways.

That book I just read, "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Hunting" has a whole chapter that talks about wolf attacks, the history of the wolf, opening a season on them, and some of the politics involved. From what I read, our ducks are in a row, as they've been un-endangered for quite some time the anti's flawed political agenda isn't holding much water. I believe the Governor in Idaho or Montana is an avid hunter and is getting them in the right direction.

I read somewhere the states involved have already prepared to battle the anti's. Hopefully their plans are successful. If I draw a big game combo in MT again this year I'm definately going to see if I can get a tag. I know the chances are slim on an oppertunity of killing a wolf but it's well worth the chance.

I see the anti's have already got petitions started. When I ran the search on MSN the first two hits were petitions. It's still that way now, pretty sad if you ask me.

It is about time they delisted wolves...The current wolf population is five times the recovery goal and they just keep multiplying. I hunt Idaho which has the highest number of wolves currently. I have noticed a substantial decrease of both deer and elk in recent years. I don't think wolves have moved into the areas I hunt in large numbers yet, but their population has been known to increase around 15% a year, so it is just a matter of time.

I have a coyote pelt to hang on the wall...a wolf would look great next to it!

FWIW, I believe Idaho expects to charge around $28 for a resident tag.

The wolves are deminishing the Elk and Bighorn Sheep herds, as well as local livestock so naturally, the best way to control them, is with us hunters... That's great news for us hunters! I'd love to put the smackdown on a wolf...

I also would like to hunt the wolf. However, do you really think for one second that the anti hunters and their stinking kind , are going to just sit back and allow the affected states to set seasons and bag limits, and then just allow us to go and kill a wolf? Not on your life. Those idiots will abuse ( not use, I said abuse ) the court system to disallow hunting as a means of population control.

The government delisted Gray Wolves from the endangered list. I'm interested to see what the season and the tag situation will be.
