I would go with the 125 grain also...There is no such thing as excess energy when it comes to hunting elk with a bow.

Don't know about elk. I shot 125gr. for deer when I was able to still draw
a bowstring and had good results. I know that may seem heavy for whitetail
but a bad shoulder limited my draw wt.

I'm a firm believer in making sure you have plenty of KE for elk hunting. I would go with the heavier head as long as your satisfied with the arrow flight.

Broadhead for elk

I'm heading to Colorado in september to bowhunt elk and I'm looking for some advice on broadheads. I've been shooting 100 gr. satellite's for a couple of years on deer, but I have pretty much decided to switch to a Magnus Buzzcut 4 blade. I shoot a PSE Rogue at 64 lbs. What do you all think, 100 gr. or 125 gr.?
