i live in waretown nj ocean county i hunt in barnegat manahawkin waretown monmouth battlefield great swamp and this year im going to sussex county for bear im also taking a trip for 5 days to north carolina on a deer hunt i have all the time in the world just limited income and i have a disability but we all have our problems last years trip to south carolinawas a bust i hope this years is better hank k

Aaaaah yeah.... I don't ever recall having a wild turkey walk up to me in 45 years, but more deer than I can count have. Some even lived Must be one of them pet-n-shoots?

I agree with gobble...where do you hunt turkeys? Must be in a pin.

I will hunt any species of game animal, I like them all!!!! My favorite, is which ever one I'm hunting at that moment.

Yesterday I was out on the ATV, jumped 3 deer which one ran back behind me, where I came from. I shut it off, "bleated" with my mouth and that thing ran straight at me and passed me probably within 20 yards. I've also shot plenty of them before and more walk out 5 minutes later and eat right next to the one down. Not trying to bust anyone's chops

anyways, my answer would have to be turkey, I don't have to worry about them smelling me a mile away, I don't sit for hours or all day waiting on movement, the fresh spring air and the new growth...and something about that gobbling sound echoing through the woods keeps me going back... or when they just come in strutting, drumming, and spitting... I could go for days.. ehh 1 month and I'll be in action..

I do not think any game is stupid. If so, they would be extinct. All critters are very wary.

I prefer deer hunting but I also enjoy turkey.

I've hunted in many states but now keep my pursuits to Alabama, Georgia, New Jersey.

If I had more time, I would do more states

A deer, most times if you shoot at one, they will run away. Now if someone else scares them - they might run right back again, but you can't always count on what a deer is going to do and you can't scare a deer and then make deer noises and call them back in.

With the price of turkey ammo, you are almost better off to hunt deer. The way I figure it, even if a box of '06 shells cost $20, you could possibly shoot 20 deer for $1 each.

Coyote's - you have to be in coyote country and even at that, if it is cold outside, you aren't going to get me to sit for a couple of hours in sub freezing temperatures to shoot a dog. I could do that right out my kitchen window anytime I want.

Hog's are too expensive if you have to pay to hunt them and you don't get much meat out of them and if you have to pay someone to butcher it for you - you might as well go to a grocery store and just buy steaks.

Rabbits are my most favorite thing to hunt. IN Pennsylvania, they allow you to shoot 4 a day and it doesn't take long to clean them and you get a nice portion of meat to eat off them and you can take your beagle with you and a sandwich and make a day out of it and the shotgun shells don't have to cost a arm or a leg to have a good time.
