Had a long slow trip home over the holiday . Took 29 hours for the trip home travelling with the storm the whole way . Only home for 3 days then I returned to Utah . I went out once whie I was home but didnt see anything . The season is over before I return home again . Sorry I didnt score any . Maybe next year .

Ill be heading home this week for a few days then returning after xmas . We have a snow storm comin intomorow here in Utah . Im hopin whil Im home Ill get a chance to hit the woods ateast once .

Well it's over for me here in the great white CRUNCHY northeast...the dang frozen crusty snow put the bone in the spokes for the last week of muzzle to say the least. Go team!!! I'm forced to watch from the sidelines now...just me and my 30 pack

I still got a few weeks left, but if this weather don't straighten out, I might as well throw in the towel. Monday is officially start of winter right? expecting 60+ temps through the weekend into next week.

Been aweful slow goin here, time to get out of the stand and cover some ground for me. Been warm as heck, but it's droppin tonight with some snow headed in supposedly for morning...I'll be rigid to get on a fresh track!

Starting to see a little more movement early on . Alot of young ones comin out before dusk , the movement is gettin earlier , right at dark . Something will give way , always does . Good luck to yahh ..

Im not havin a good go at it ... missed 2 different does yesterday mornin , checked rechecked and checked again to make sure they were clean misses . Took the rifle back to the range . Spent this evening in the woods , seen a couple fawns , momma wouldnt show herself for a shot . Also seen a buck with his head to the ground chasin , couldnt get on him in time for a shot - he was there and gone . Hopefully better luck the next few days , rifle season ends tuesday .

Well Ill keep after it , godda do my share for the 'TEAM' . Ive got alot fo trail cam pics , just movin at night . Have a nice 9 , an 8 , a 6 , a forked horn 4 , and an antelope lookin spike as well as a morph spike with tines goin 2 directions . My neighbor to the northwest has 6 pics of a 14 that has been lurkin for years around the area . He has him on cam for the last 3 years . Funny , the only pics he has of him is during daylight hours . I seen him last year around 10:30 one morning , the neighbor to the south of me seen him in his front yard when he came home for lunch one day . Im not that lucky ...

yeah it has been slow for me...now that work is done...bidness is about to pick up!!!

Going saturday morning back to the property that has lots of traffic, but the rest of the time I will be hiding out at the hunting club!!!

I hear ya, it's been sloooow here to. I did go to some land down south sunday I hunt and passed on a spike (imagine that ) had 3 does hangin at 40 in some pines and would'nt budge and jr reeled in on the buck lure I had out. Still early yet and southern zone rifle opens here Saturday here and the stalk will be on. Good luck out there Brother, hope you get a crack at a biggun!

Spent 3 1/2 hours in the blind with my son Saturday morning , 5 1/2 hours myself saturday evening , 6 hours sunday evening , 5 hours this evening . Not 1 deer did I see . Pulled the card on my trail cam , alot of movement at night . We have alot of strange new vehicles riding around out by the property since last week . I guess the road hunters have pushed them into a nocturnal state . Usually our property is like a refuge for the deer from the state park . Go figure , Ill try again tomorow .

Alright guys , I know Im laggin behind here . Our rifle season opens in the am . Had a blind set up for awhile . Been seein alot of movement just been selective on bow hunting or shooters not close enough . Ill be posting pics over the weekend . Good luck to all who get out this weekend .

Im sorry guys . Ive been travel'n for work . Been home about a week and didnt know I had made the Team . Been on stand out on the property but passin on alot of deer - I do have some good pic's though on my cell ... lol . Now that I know Im in 'The game' ... Lets rock . My hands are tied until Monday , then Ill let the arrows fly . As well , our rifle season opens the 14th . Look out ... here we come - like a freight train .

To add another 3 Point to my Northern Brother from anther Mother...here is my 3 Pointer!

It was a hot summer day...no wait...it was fall already, but it was still hot. Skeeters were bad as usual, and add rain to that. Anyway...I get off work and I decided to do a little hunting, first time out at the hunting club(before now I had been hunting other spots). I park my ride, put on my leafy suit and ease to the food plot. I wasn't really figuring I'd see anything, I saw 1 set of tracks in and out of the food plot, kind of disheartening I tell ya, I sat anyway. I didn't bring a ground blind, climber, or any type of stand. Ha! Just my butt flat on the ground leaning against a planted pine, oh and my thermacell was pumping hard! About 6ish I heard what I thought was a grunt. Strange I say, so I shook it off, but you know you will listen harder for sounds. Nothing doing. It got to around 7 and all the deer I've seen this year has been about 30 minutes before dark, so I ease up on my right knee and sit the bow on my left knee, you know sitting like Captain Morgan. About 7:20 I'm looking to my right up the trail from where I come from, I caught movement out of my left eye. I roll my eyes in that direction I see legs. Oh snap! Less than 5 yards to my left there is a deer. He stares at me and begins to move from my left to right and then turns around and comes back from my right to left and lines himself up with my bow sitting on my left knee.

Here is a shot of the tree he is beside when I first see him, it is the tree on the right...

What seemed like hours was actually minutes, he finally settles down and begins to eat. He is now standing to the right of the tree behind the tree he first came out, the tree on the left is the tree on the right in the above picture...

I begin to draw and he looks at me, I freeze, he goes back to eating, I finish drawing and thwack! I hit him in the shoulder, don't know how, but I did...I guess the excitement of him being so close. I head to the truck and called my hunting bud that lives right down the road to come help me find him. We found him around 9PM. Sorry for the pics, I was tired, wet and hungry. But still I enjoyed the hunt, and ever since it is been ground hunting for me!

Took one for the team and the empty freezer sunday morning down south. 3pt 130lb'er I actually was gonna pass on but he screwed around way to long in front of me. LOL! 20yrds and nothin but that sweet THWACK!! Double lunged the goofy little dude...I had 4 does come in and bedded at 60 first thing and would'nt budge, That would be the first time I've ever seen a deer that was bedded eat acorns!! It was a nice mile drag out, but I had some help... THANKS Dane!!
Some nice butterball backstraps and a few points to get rollin with here...Now I'm workin to upgrade the beaner with Mr.Big here shortly!

The jackhammer left a more then ample exit hole...eh?
