Congrats on the meat Cap'n Jack! You're right...that's all that matters...the contest is for bragging right anyway so no big deal in my book....these other fellars though are sticklers for the rules...

I'm definitely legal, couldn't afford to be anything but! Rough & rainy deer season and I had just about given up. Sitting in my buddies tree lounge for less than an hour, these two does came strolling past. I let them walk as long as I dared, looking for a buck to follow them but it didn't happen. I took the biggest one with the 30-06 and watched her "paint the trees" as she ran her last 20 yards.

If this doesn't qualify for the contest then it's no problem. Meat in the freezer is what counts and as you can see, I've got that covered.

Thats alright. As long as your all legal for entry and such, no worries. Sounds like a big gal!

Looks like it's down to me. I've got three good doe's runin around the place, one looks to be pretty hefty. Plus I know theres more deer around. I should be able to get out pretty quick, i'de just like it to get above 10 degrees!

Well, I got a doe, went to take a picture and my digital was gone! 165lb doe with two hours left in the season. (last Saturday)
I can [maybe] get a picture of the meat & tag but sorry...no picture with the 'hair on it'.

No luck yet. Last weekend was up in the 70s all weekend. A bit to warm for deer movement aroudn here. This weekend should be good I think. I moved the stands to some new spots and it is supposed to be in the 50s for the day.

Yeah, i've been so busy with grouse/patridge hunting lately, I havnt got many chances to get out. Also, waterfowl starts tommarow, and no doubt i'll be busy with that too!

I've got the cam out too, and I havnt checked it in about a week.

Bow season here in Maine starts the first of October. I haven't been seeing any deer lately of getting them on trailcam but they should be out and about soon enough.

Yeah I went out and seen 10 deer, but only a fawn presented a shot. I let him go though to small and he was a buck. I'm heading out again this weekend. I'll hunt my land in the morning and then I'm grabbing a stand and going to some public land for the evening and Sunday morning. We'll see what happens.

Mine will be starting pretty quick. Unfortunatly, the begining of the season looks like a hot one, and I work opening day after school(friday), and also the next morning, so I won't be out right away. Oh well, don't matter. My season still starts a good two weeks before a lot of people here.

Sounds good Tom. Looks like we've got our work cut out for us looking at team 7 & 8's trailcam photos.

I'll do what I can for the team. I'd really like to get my allotted [ONE] deer in October so I can trap full time this year.
I won't be talking smack, cause I haven't been getting any buck pictures on the cameras but I enjoy a good contest.
