Since you said there's International Airports, that will be a great help. If you take a look at Cabela's website, they always have hotels and good eateries right across the street from them oftentimes. Like for example, in Owatonna, there's Famous Dave's, Timber Lodge Steakhouse, Sportsmen's Grill, Comfort Inn and Holiday Inn. When you click Retail Stores, then go ahead click any location, and last click for Store Hours & Amenities. That will help you get some ideas which cities will be able to offer that kind of location that will draw customers. Thought I would help. You're very welcome, Phil.

RE: Why The Maritime Provines of Canada have NO Outfitters of any kind??

Well I actually am right in the middle of 2 large cities. I live in Amherst Nova Scotia, Halifax is about an hour away it has over 100 000 people not including the surrounding smaller cities, and then about 45 min away there is Moncton New Brunswick, there is about 120 000 people there and the same that doesn't include, all the smaller places that surround it. I grew up in New Brunswick and my father and mother and I have been fly fishing the Miramichi river for salmon for years, we used to rent Crown Land for a week every year. By the way, moncton and Halifax both have International airports and high end hotels near by, also there is a Montanas steakhouse in Moncton about 10 minits away from the airport and the hotels. I have been talking about it to some people that I know like My father in law, he goes to Newfoundland hunting Moose and Caribou every year, and they also go there to fish.
Parsborough is another small town here, they have Sea Bass right off the beach, also Salmon and huge brown trout. All kinds of hunting and fishing.

Thank you again, Philson Broughm

RE: Why The Maritime Provines of Canada have NO Outfitters of any kind??

Likewise, Philson. Am glad to be able to help you whatever best I can do. I've been Cabela's customer for a long time before I became an employee of Cabela's. I'm well aware of their excellence of customer service what they're well known for. I've seen it at hand while working there as well. Just thought I share that experience with you. My wife and I are a member of Facebook as well. I didn't know you posted it up about Cabela's. Wish you best of luck convincing Cabela's to bring it to your area. What's your biggest city in your area right now and what province in Canada?

RE: Why The Maritime Provines of Canada have NO Outfitters of any kind??

Thank you for your reply, I have done what you said and they replied immediately. Thank you again. I love Cabelas and I am thrilled to hear they are moving to Canada. I have put a petition on FACEBOOK about it and so far within 3 days I have 115 people sighen on. Hopefully it will spread fast and maybe they will see that there is a market for their products here. I mean today it is 12 degrees celcius, tomorrow we are getting a snow storm and the last one that hit, people were without power for days, some weeks. Alot of flashlights and cooking gear was sold! Once again I thank you for your help.

RE: Why The Maritime Provines of Canada have NO Outfitters of any kind??

You'll need to contact Cabela's headquarters directly. I work for Cabela's in Owatonna, Minnesota. I work in the receiving departments. Whatever ideas you have should be sent directly to Cabela's headquarters, Let me give you the link that you can contact customer service:

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/community/customerservice/customer-service-home.jsp?cm_re=TopNav*CustServ*032709

What's the biggest city that will draw business in your area? Cabela's tend to build their business that have hotels nearby, good eatery that's very reputable, and where are the customers coming from mainly that's willing to make the drive. Right now, Cabela's have one business built in Canada. It's in Winnipeg, Manitoba. There are 29 Cabela's locations and there will be 4 additional locations within the near future. You can check out Cabela's webiste, it will show you where the locations are so far.

Why The Maritime Provines of Canada have NO Outfitters of any kind??

I live in Nova Scotia Canada. There are more hunters and game fisherman around here than you can shake an "UGLY STICK" at, and there are absolutly no hunting or fishing outfitters. What we are supposed to buy our gear at walmart or canadian tire?? We have the Miramichi river for pete's sake! Newfoundland Moose and Caribou, Need I say more?? Someone needs to get off their butts and come on up here with a Mossy oak or a Cabellas and start making some money.
