You see, they are tasty. But, what keeps them tasty is that they are here for a limited amount of time. If they were available year round, I think allot of people would get burned out on them, they are VERY rich.

Ah...but to have a plate filled with fried taters, fried fish, and fried morels...HOOOOOOOOO BOY dat is some good eatin'!

Hell, I've found em on pine needle covered ground and heavy around poplar trees, and also in the hardwoods. Our's are tough here.. I picked a couple growin in the gravel longside the driveway last month!

Yall probably got em. Their season is pretty short, though this year was one of the best in a long time around here. Serious sacks full!

I will give the the most valuable tip ever...Ready? Look for dying elms. Not dead ones..dying. They're the ones that the bark starts falling off in chunks or strips...You'll see some elms with no bark at all standing (dead). Don't know why, but always find allot around the elms. Some will tell you this and that about hill tops/sides/valleys...nevermind all that, I found em all over and around hills and flats, even right by railroad tracks. Now, yall gots to give me 10% of your proceeds if'n your morel sales business is profitable...
