Got back from a big trip down south. In bed by 11pm up at 3am. On my new property upstate NJ and set up before dawn.
Temps rose fast. 80 degrees by 10am thereabouts
No birds, not a peep.
Kicked up a hen in the shade as I walked out.
82 degrees by the time I got home.
4 more Saturdays left to try!

Thanks, been at it every Saturday since. Only one Saturday were they out gobbling a lot. It has been cold and foggy every other Saturday. Still have 2 to go plus I picked up a Monady to Friday permit so I may try a Monday, Friday, Saturady deal to close out the seaons.
Where is spring? It is late here for sure! Eveything has greened up but temps in 50's ain't no fun this part of the year!
