Ordered some new boots,

Cabelas Elk Hunters by Danner
I ordered some other Danners that were too big and seemed to have no support. I'll give these a try. Anyone have these boots?

Damn, them things look like Super Swampers for your feet...
Let me know how they feel. I've had several pair of Dannersand Cabelas shoes over the years and liked them all.

Nope, good luck with them. I'm a Rocky Boot guy. Cabelas gives customers the chance to rate products, reviews can be helpful. Break them in before you do some heavy hunting!

I only wear Danners (pronghorns mostly) so if Danner makes them I gotta believe they will be good. Post up after you have used them a couple of times and give a review.

I'll post up a review when they get here...
I've read all the stuff on Cabela's website and I never seem to trust those things...one never knows who's behind the screen editing whats going up...

I don't have the Danners , but bought another one of the Cabela's boots that are built the same as the one in your picture. One thing I'm sure of is that you will love the lace to toe design. This allows you the custom fit the boot to your foot , and will keep your foot from sliding around inside the boot , there-by preventing blisters.

I do not like all leather boots for hunting, period.

I normally look for lightweight hunting boots . They come in a little on the heavy side, ~4 pounds. I'm sure you'll get a long time out of them being leather.
Looking forward to your review.

I've had them on a few times, SOLID boots! I like the leather for the custom fit they give when broke in. THe breaking in part is the not so easy part...they are getting there. THey came with some extra arch support deals, I put them in and then added another insole on top and now they are like putting my feet into a nice bed!!!!
I'll be packing around with them on opening day!
