got a nice bowhunt planned up in northern minnesota for this fall, hunting black bears and deer. here is a bear harvested off of one of our stands last fall. cant wait. my buds and i are chippin in for a black bear target, and i just bought a 2 man ladder stand and an electric feeder. cant wait.

Good luck on your bear hunt!
We have an archery only bear season but they haven't opened it in my GMU yet. I hope it comes around here soon.

| Hey Travo: explain to me more about this hunt. Are you allowed to hunt bear over a deer feeder? Let me know more about it and I'll betcha the fatcat can help you out on bear hunting!

yup, bear baiting is legal in minnesota. figute im gonna try to just condition em from being nocturnal by using the feeder, and also to keep from disturbing the site as much as i can by baiting every day. i betcha could help me out, cat. im open for suggestions.

Going on a bear hunt! A great book I read to my kids and I can't wait til I can go for real!!
Sounds like a great trip! A few of us are hoping for a trip in 09!

My first out of state and only out of country hunt was a bear bowhunt in northern Alberta about 60 miles from the northern territories. I'll tell you one thing that was an awesome hunt! There were lots of bears coming in and we got two bear tags and a wolf tag. Out of 10 hunters all but 3 tagged out on bear and one shot a wolf with a rifle (not all bowhunted). I tagged out with a bow .

I took my Black Bear in Manitoba Canada with my bow.................. and it is very exciting to hunt bear with archery equipment! Best of luck to ya!
