Hey Elk Chaser,
I'm with you, loose 777, it's a lot cheaper than those pellets and a lot faster loading if you pre-measure your loads in vials. If you can catch the sale at Wally World, you can pick it up for around $12 a lbs.

American Pioneer Powder (I use Jim Shockey's Gold series pellets).This powder burns extremely clean and you can load several times without needing to run a cleaning patch down the bore.

I use 2f and 3f in either kik or goex in my flinters,sidelocks and inlines.I love the smell and smoke of the real thing.I don't mind the clean up and who the he** needs 2 shots?
