Yea I know I need mounts for the scope...but from what I see I need mounts for the CVA, can't just buy mounts and expect them to fit...I did see that CVA had some but I don't really care for them. I guess I'm gonna head to Cabelas in CT next week and see what I can find.

I was thinking of getting this as I like the cross hairs have it set to help in distance:

Nikon Omega muzzleloader scope 3-9x40 model 8403
BDC reticle
Features
• Patented bullet drop drop compensating reticle that allows accurate and ethical shot placement at longer ranges
• Designed specifically for muzzleloading rifles
• With a 100-yard sight-in, provides aiming point circles at 150, 200, 225 and 250 yards

I was also looking at the Nikon Omega.

What's the overall opinion on the drop compensating reticle. Sounds great???
