Got me a Traditions pursuit thumbhole xlt from my wife and kids for Christmas. Haven't shot it yet. Anybody got one and if so what kind of bullets and charges are you using. Can't decide what scope to use either.

I also recieved the Traditions Pursuit XLT with camo thumbhole stock and nickle finish.

from the wife for Christmas. I topped it with a Traditions 3-9x40 scope.

I am still doing some experimenting with loads and bullets, but first results with 100 gr Triple Seven (2 50gr pellets) and 250 gr Hornady sabots yielded 4 inch groups at 50 yds without the scope. The weather turned a little nasty so I haven't been able to get it dialed in with the scope yet. I am going to try the T/C 200 gr shockwaves and I also bought some 30 gr 777 pellets to experiment with charges.

So far I'm pretty happy with this muzzleloader. Let me know how it goes with yours.

Nice rifles there gents!

I've been hunting with a Traditions Tracker for some years now and it's been a very reliable and accurate rifle. I've been using 100 grains of 777 (triple seven) with a 240 grain T/C bullet with a sabot.
