Cabelas has a CVA .50 cal/24"BBL/209 Ignition/fiber-optic sight for 99 bucks with the kit its 129. Is this a good deal and what all comes in the kit. I dont know much about these but I want to get one thats easy to use and isnt a fortune.

Thats a good deal for sure. The kit has everything you'll need but the powder and primers, which will run you around another $60 but will last a few years. Sometimes Walmart has deals on them to....unless you've been holding out with that Birthday Cabelas gift card

HAHA, is that common up there? A buddy of mine heads to NY for the slug season. He said this one oldtimer headed to the stand with two smokepoles and a shotgun. After asking he was told "I'm ready for two long shots and another 5 to follow up".

Sounds like a good deal to me as well. It would get the beginner started at least, go for it.

Sounds like a hell of a deal to me! CVA makes a good smoke pole, that's for sure.

I've been wanting that Cabelas Kodiak ML that has two barrels on it...for an extra shot... They even make them up to 72 caliber...
